Celebrating My Last Day of Work

....in Augusta. Next week the job hunt will begin for work in San Antonio, but today is the last day at Hull Barrett. The last day of me pestering everyone with my marketing antics:) I have loved my time at Hull Barrett and the friends I have made here. While every job has it's ups and downs I was very blessed to work with such wonderful people and to learn an important lesson on work/life balance. Hull Barrett you will be missed!

They are "A Growing"

Knox's 2 month appointment:
Weight: 12 lbs (50%)
Length: 22 inches (15%)
Head: 15 3/4 inches (46%)
Update: Every now and then we catch a smile from Knox. He is a great feeder and especially now that we have diagnosed his acid reflux. We're still not sleeping through the night, but we usually only have one feeding in the night. We still can't pinpoint who he looks like...I'm thinking he may end up brunette and Mark is hoping he stretches out a little in the length department (I think we may end up with a mini Mark.)

Will's interview last night over dinner:
Favorite person: mommy (melt my heart)
Favorite animal: bear, but I also like lions
Favorite sport: golf
Favorite thing to do: read and wrestle
Favorite song: "This Girl is on Fire"
Favorite Movie: Star Wars
Do you like popcorn: yes
Favorite tv show: Mickey Mouse
Favorite Food: macaroni and cheese
Favorite color: orange
Favorite holiday: Halloween because you get a lot of candy
Favorite toy: light saber and blaster

Good for the Soul

A couple of weeks ago we made a quick trip back to Texas so Knox could meet the family and we could find a house to rent in San Antonio. We had a great time with our families and are excited to be back and see them more.

Did I mention we found a house too, thanks to one of Will's angel aunts!

Airplane

This is how we fly home to Texas, just kidding...while I'm on my recommendation kick I thought I'd give one from my hometown of Brenham. If you are in the area go have lunch at the Brenham airport. Your kids will love looking at the planes, you can have a great milkshake and burger served to you by a waitress in a poodle skirt, and best of all watch the planes take off and land.

Foodie Kids

Mark and I love food and cooking. We are avid Top Chef & IronChef fans and constantly have the tv on the food network since it's kid/adult friendly. Even Will likes to get in on the action when we cook! So when Aunt Leisha & Rara mentioned going to Foodie Kids in Austin I was all in. Talk about a cool place with awesome cooking gifts and hands on cooking for kiddos. If you are an Austinite with kids I definitely recommend a drop in and cook outing, you won't be disappointed!
