We ventured over to South Carolina to celebrate the engagement of Erin & Brad last weekend. Erin is still in Alabama, so it's always a treat when we get to see her!
Dinner at the Historic Wilcox Hotel in Aiken, SC

The soon to be Mr. & Mrs. Snead

History of The Willcox: Built in the late 19th century for well-to do Yankees, Aiken was popular with the swells and dandies of the Gilded Age and they came in such numbers every winter that the town was dubbed the "Winter Colony." Great dances were held and ballrooms glittered with candlelight. Old rivals, fiercely competitive but impeccably polite, settled their differences on the polo field. Grand picnics in Hitchcock Woods were laid out with silver, crystal and linen. Politicians, royalty and captains of industry often visited The Willcox. Famous guests included Winston Churchill, Harold Vanderbilt, W.R. Grace, Elizabeth Arden and Count Bernadotte of Sweden. Legend has it that Franklin Delano Roosevelt rode his private train car to the back door and slipped in quietly. It also is said that the Prince of Wales was regretfully turned away during Master's week because there was no room.

It's All About Me

Our first homework project. The project said to work on it with your child not for your child, but after five days straight of getting Will to try and color and put stickers on it we decided the directions were maybe for the older kids at daycare.

Augie's Birthday.

We went to our 1st Augusta GreenJackets game on Friday night. We were a bit hesitant with Will, but he loved it!! He danced, clapped and enjoyed stomping on the bleacher seats for rallys. To our surprise he made it all the way to the 7th inning. It was also mascot night and Will loved seeing them from afar. Of course when the Mascot's got up close Will took after Aunt Lulu and went into terrified mode. What a fun night that we will definitely do again soon.
The Clemson Tiger and the Trevinos (We're hoping to see the Tiger again in a couple of weeks in Death Valley when they play Auburn)
The Augusta GreenJackets Stadium (affiliated with the Giants)
It was Augie (the mascots b.d. so he invited his friends to the game aka his b.d. party)

FLASH MOB

While on vacation a Flash mob happened right below my work window! I'm a little sad I didn't get asked to participate as it is on my bucket list and you all know what a fabulous dancer I am (yes I have some sweet moves.) Anywho, how cool for Augusta and get excited for Westobou! P.S. Abs, do you think you can help me cross this off my bucket list, you are the best choregrapher I know!
