Big Monday

Will getting ready for Big Monday basketball (TX vs. A&M). He didn't quite make it to the game since bedtime was 90 minutes before tip off, but by counting all the laps he walked around the house I think he was excited for it.

Morris Museum of Art

One of my favorites: The Charleston door

Saturday we decided to check out the print sale at the Morris Museum of Art. Unfortunately, we came home empty handed, but were rewarded with a great morning spent at a fantastic art museum. This was our first trip to the museum and it did not disappoint. With the art being hung high and the museum being pretty empty Will even got to stretch his legs a bit.

Called Up to the Big League

Today I got the big call that Will has been tapped to move up to the big Leagues (Yes T1 Class!) Tomorrow starts our two week visitation where we cut our time between both the infant room and T1 to get us acquainted with the change. We have been working hard to get his pre-recs so he could move up and join some of his old friends. It should be quite a big change for our little guy (scheduled nap time and feedings, sitting at a table to eat, playground sand and of course starting the learning process P90x style.) We are excited and sad to leave the infant teachers who spoil and love Will as much as Mark and me, but I know we we'll still visit them and learn to love the T1 teachers just as much. We'll keep you all updated on our progress--it should be interesting as the last words of advice they gave us were beware of biters and we will call if it breaks the skin.

Brusha, Brusha, Brusha

Four teeth are quite a lot to be proud of and should be taken care, so we started trying to brush Will's teeth. I think he enjoys eating the toothbrush and toothpaste more than anything. Luckily, Mark was able to get in there a little bit better than me and get Will's gums & teeth brushed (something tells me I'll have a lot more practice as time goes on.) Also a big thanks to Mark's co-resident, Lauren, who suggested we get the toothbrush instead of the brush that goes on my finger as I'm sure I would have possibly lost a finger or had battle scars with Will's chompers.

P.S. the joke about who created the toothbrush or otherwise it would be called a teethbrush never gets old!

I was sad to miss Aunt Lulu's 30th ranch birthday party in Texas so Mark and Will tried really hard to cheer me up this weekend. I think they did a great job:)

Ophthalmology Dinner (Liver Rounds)

Friday night the whole group came over for liver rounds. We had a great time and it's been one of the few times the entire group has been able to get together without someone being called in. The best thing were the 5 ophto mascots under the age of 3 (William, Will, West, Wynn & Elizabeth) running around the house. Mark is so blessed to work with such a great group and we sure will be sad to see some of the older residents move on after this year.

Sabrina Rose Mirelez

Our beautiful niece, Sabrina Rose, arrived on January 11th at 2:48 am weighing 7lbs & 2 oz and 19 and a half inches. She is such a precious little girl and the three amigos in Augusta are dying to get to Texas to see her. She is named after Jake's mom and seems to favor the Mirelez side, although she may have a mini version of the Trevino nose we are told. We can't wait for Will to meet his new cousin and of course Aunt Fab & Uncle Doc can't wait to spoil her!

40 yard dash time soon to come

Well as you may remember Will took his real first steps over the Christmas break. We were still crawling everywhere once we got back to Georgia with the occasional few steps. Then today we were playing with Will during our snow day and he just decided to walk. We haven't made it more than 10 or so steps, but I think that is just around the corner.

Greenville, SC

Will in the kids's court

At Grill 33 which had awesome hamburgers!

Reedy Falls: The Reedy River runs through downtown Greenville and the falls and park were beautiful to see!

Saturday we decided to see more of the area and and head more into Tiger (Clemson) country . We decided a day in Greenville, SC was right up our alley--home of Southern Tide apparel, Shoeless Joe Jackson and Tyler Florence. We had a great time and the only low point of the day was watching Texas lose to UConn in OT by one point.

SNOW DAY

Playing with the neighbors and watching the older kids sled down the street.

When we moved to Georgia everyone told us they never got snow...well after a year and a half it has snowed three times! So actually just 2 times for us (it snowed here on Christmas day while we were in Dallas,) but that's 2 times more than we are used to as you can tell by all our winter gear in the pics.

Hello 2011

I'm not letting go unless you have milk, cheerios or goldfish.
Will decked out in his TCU gear for the game on New Years Day!

The call gods blessed us and Mark's 5 straight days of being on call ended up being manageable... an odd occurrence considering the debauchery that goes on around the New Years Holiday (fireworks, fights, bottles breaking over random heads.) I got most of the Christmas decorations down, Mark put together the cozy coup and wagon and Will is having the time of his life playing with all his new toys that Stacey, Popo & RaRa shipped back to us from Texas. We also are working on starting back up P90x (we took a short break from Oct.-Jan:), catching up at work, working on walking with Will and battling a small cold/ear infection that he came down with this week. We have our one year check up on Monday and are thinking of taking a small day trip to Greenville, SC on Saturday so more to come next week. Did we also mention that Baby M may be making his or her debut this Wednesday--it's going to be a great week!
