Fear Conquered
We haven't been to Monkey Joes in a while. Mascots are still something we are working on so when Harrison's birthday came up we decided to give it another try. Luckily, Will had a lot of classmates there to show him that Monkey Joes is not scary. By the end of the party we were high fiving Monkey Joe and we've already planned the next trip back for this weekend. Now we just need to work on Santa, the Chick fil a cow, Auggie the bee, the riverhawk, and the steve the pizza slice (baby steps peeps).

PINTEREST: March 2013
I get lots of great ideas off Pinterest. I love the recipes, can't afford the clothes or houses I pin, but do love seeing all the images. I thought I'd share a few projects I've done recently that have been epic failures just in case you pinned them too.
Jello Legos: This was a fun project with Will, but a waste of jello. It also resulted in a late night run to Target to get more jello for the St. Patrick's Day Party the next day. Word to the wise: they do not come out of the legos. I saw later on today that you really need to buy a lego mold, but I tried them in a few silicone heart shaped molds too and they still didn't come out without breaking.

Banana Chips: I attempted to make homemade banana chips. While they were still good, they never got crispy, even with an extra 2 hours baking them. My advice is to have a food dehydrator or better yet save your time and buy the ones that are probably deep fried at the store for $1.

This entertained Will for about 15 minutes one night and then never sparked his interest again.

Fishing with our alphabet magnets: I thought this would be a big hit. Will preferred to instead line the magnets up around the tub. Or directly put the magnets on his fishing pole. While our magnets were cheap, their quality showed as most of them lost the magnet in the bath tub from the water.

Lastly, don't try removing water stains on hardwood floors with toothpaste. It doesn't work and is a mess.
