Don't worry Will was in good hands...Dr. Brad wanted one last low key weekend before he ties the knot this weekend in Cashiers, NC. Mark and I tried to convince him that babysitting Will was not our idea of low key, but he insisted. This was the first time Will was genuinely excited about a babysitter and Dr. Brad said he had a great time with Will too (although I think Will may have worn him out a bit.) Now back to the grind, but a little wedding in five days has us all excited and gives us motivation to get through the week.

Just What the Dr. Ordered
Last week I was at my wits end: stressed, defeated, missing family and friends, and all around worn out. It's funny how Mark seems to always know when I am close to my breaking point and sweeps in, mends my concerns, and give me a dose of a good time to keep me going. Saturday was no different when he surprised me by whisking me away to Columbia, SC for a date night. What did this girl need: The Immortal World Cirque du Soleil (Michael Jackson) and a stiff martini! Man that doctors know just what his patient needs!

Sweet Kicks
Yes, you are looking at my sweet kicks designed for my birthday from Mark. If you know me you know I wear tennis shoes with everything (yes I'm sure sometimes it's a fashion faux pas) and I usually don't replace them for 3 years. I'm hoping these babies help me run faster, jump higher, touch my toes, and hit the Y outside of Bodyflow class regularly. I'll let you know which one of these happen... I'll settle at least for the last one (it's amazing how much neon motivates me.)
Texas Fight!
Texas Fight!
I guess what is good for the goose is good for the gander because Mark picked up a 2nd pair of sweet custom boots.
This is Will showing us his sweet move without sweet kicks. His Yoga is so much better than mine.

Meet Billy! Now that Will is an active, full speed running boy, we decided to purchase Billy to put in the street to slow down the cars coming off the gigantic hill that leads to our house. Will said Billy wanted to go to T-2 with him on Friday (I contemplated putting Billy in the car so we could get out the door, but realized how cookoo that was and caving in would only create further request...can Billy go to the store wtih us, etc.)
Saturday/Sunday was full of yard work. Luckily Mark had two special helpers.
Our neighbors had the same idea on cutting back their bushes. Luckily why we cleaned beds the boys brushed up on their NBA skills.
To reward our hard work we drove to Aiken to refill our growler. Nothing like some pretzel bites and craft beer to reward our hard work.

EASTER
Friday night we died our first set of Easter Eggs. Nana got the eggs and kit for Will and we thought it would be a great lesson to help teach him his colors. Currently the only color he knows is orange. The color lesson was not quite as much fun as crushing the eggs in our hands and or on the table and then eating them, but at least we can say we gave it a try.
Saturday, was smoking time: Mark fixed the most amazing beef ribs! We may not have the best bbq here in Georgia, but at the Trevino house you would never know the difference. Thanks to amazingribs.com Mark is always trying new recipes/ways to smoke something that blow my socks off. Sunday we hit up early service church to ensure we'd be home early for mimosas and masters.
Will loved his Easter egg nest and was so happy the Easter bunny ate his carrots. Special thanks to Mark for reminding me that the Easter Bunny is not Santa Claus and that he generally doesn't bring 50 eggs and a truck load of presents for a 2 year old, way to keep this mommy in check (I tend to think overboard sometimes!)
Will devoured each piece of candy in one setting!
Easter Egg hunting, Masters, and Church made for a great day = two worn out boys!

It's Back
Saturday Farm to Market on the River! Yeah fresh fruit and veggies (we scored some great strawberries to make Hildy's strawberry pie for Easter. Like always mine never turn out as good as hers were.)
Will loves guitars and music and was quite the hit dancing! Unfortunately, our hunt for a key lime plant continues.

Master's Time
There have been many wonderful things about being in Augusta for my residency and getting to go to the tournament multiple times has been one of the best. It is just amazing to drive by the course for a year and just see a wall of unkept bushes and bamboo and know what is behind the wall. It really is a very special place. Luckily, my mom and Tony got to come out this year and get in a practice round.

KJ Choi getting ready to skip it across the water at 16. After they take a few shots from the teebox, the golfers will walk up to the edge and try to skip it across the water and on to the green.
They even let caddies get in on it sometimes.

Martin Kaymer skipped it across and got a hole in one. Here he is picking it out of the cup
We got inside right at 7:45 am (15 minutes before the gates opened which gave Amy a head jump on the gift shop. I have a feeling my brother in laws will be happy.)
Sitting by the water at 16. The grass was wet enough that I had a stain that was a little embarrasing on my backside
Amy's Master's Breakfast (a bud light & moonpie)
I opted for the pimento cheese & egg salad
Wishing she stuck some of that grass in her purse so I can harvest it and grow my yard out of it.

The grass is like carpet. Reminds me of fishing barefoot at the Dominion golf club in San Antonio when I was younger
