Stone Mountain

Last Friday after work we jumped in the car and headed 2 hours north to Stone Mountain Park to meet Popo & Rara. What a great weekend getaway full of beautiful scenery. Stone Mountain has so many great activities and was a great meeting place for a fun filled weekend.

Will & Popo listening to Rara's i-pod, "Help Me Rhonda" was the song of choice.

 We ate dinner Friday night at the golf course located in the park. The course looked to be in great shape and next time I think we will have to bring our clubs.

 First thing Saturday morning we rode the Gondola up Stone Mountain. The view was amazing and it was so cool to see all of Atlanta just a few miles away. The granite from the mountain has been used in almost all the states: Augusta, GA post office, Bellville, TX post office, White House steps, etc.

 We also explored the park.

  Will has recently been fascinated with choo choo trains, so of course a ride on one was in order!

 After a long day Rara and Will decided to cool off in the pool while Popo, Mark and I watched a little football.

 Saturday night was the main event: We headed to the Laser Light Show on Stone Mountain! It did not disappoint and we will definitely do it again.

Will's favorite new game, taking everything out of our wallets.

POPO & RARA! Were super excited to meet Popo and Rara this weekend at Stone Mountain! I know one little boy who is going to be very happy and spoiled.

Death Valley

Death Valley lived up to its name! We had a blast today and what a great time seeing two great schools play each other outside of the Big XII.

While Auburn lost, we still had a great time and Will loved the being spoiled by the War Eagles.

The Pitmaster

Augusta has brought out the pitmaster. In Houston & Austin we lived in an apartment and our only grilling came on a hibachi grill which we loved on our small patio. Since moving, Mark has been spoiling us with unbelievable ribs, pork chops, steak, chicken and this past weekend was his best brisket yet.
