Just saying hi

Had a good sunday today. We just did some housework, yardwork, and some relaxing. Will is getting ready for the big day tomorrow at daycare (and mommy is getting ready to cry). Here is a little smiling and cooing. I would like to tell you this is how it happens all day everyday but those with kids know I would be telling a lie....and we all know where liars go. Enjoy

Daddy day care

Had my day off today and took the oppertunity to run some father/son errands. Started off with the smiling/happy/cooing Will that appears during the hours of 8-10am. I'm usually toiling away at the hospital so I haven't really seen too much of this. I never thought I would do that stupid baby talk, but there I was making silly noises, singing made up songs, and absolutely loving it.

On to the errands. First stop was to buy mommy's birthday gift. For the single guys out there, if you can get a hold of a baby (nephew, niece, Mexican black market) I would highly recommend heading to a day spa. Apparantly a baby in one of those places is like chumming for shark as it brings the ladies in from miles. Next stop was Sonic so daddy could eat and then feed Will in the pouring rain. Good times scaring the carhop by jumping out of the back seat to get my food with a dirty diaper in one hand and a half naked kid in the other. Then we went to both Will and my favorite stop...Lowe's (or any hardware store). I guess they employ an army of creepy old ladies who smell like smoke because I was doing the cart dance trying to keep this old lady away from Will during checkout. I think she realized it after a while and finally let me pass. There was a reason I went to the self check out lane, and it was not because I wanted you to put your grubby claws all over my precious son. Next, we headed to the store to get ingredients for tonights delicious meal. Finally, the best part was cooking with Will in the baby bjorn (think of a backpack on backwards with a kid stuffed in it). Just had to make sure to keep that knife away from him. All in all quite a good day and it is only halfway done.

Our trip to Texas was so much fun. The best part was seeing my family and having them all spoil Will and I. Thank you all for all the diaper changes, rockings, cooked dinners, laundry and most importantly love! We can't wait till our next visit.

Bedtime

Some nights are easy as our angel goes down peacefully....And some nights, like tonight when Mark is on overnight call, we get quite fussy. When my little Dubbie is fussy I find myself wanting to break all the rules (letting him sleep in our bed while I read, picking him up and bringing him in the living room to watch reruns of Seinfeld till he snoozes off, hovering over the monitor to rush in everytime his binkie falls out.) I thought this clip was perfect to show my turmoil: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2S_ZGtCsf-o

Mis Amigos

Aunt Candice with Will. Mark and I loved always meeting Candice and Steven half way between the Woodlands and Houston for dinner when we were in Texas. We sure do miss our outings to China Bear and the Saltgrass. Candice is one of my oldest friends and I can't wait till her and Mrs. Susan come to visit1

Sip and See

Will loves his RaRa and Popo! We were so lucky that while we were in my mom and dad had a sip and see so all our friends could meet Will. It was so good to see everyone and so much fun having all the little ones running around.

Old Stomping Grounds

While Will and I were in Texas we made a quick trip to Houston to see friends. Luckily, my friend Lacey was in town debuting Stella Dot jewelry. The jewelry is great and if you get a chance check it out here. There are a lot of things I miss about Houston, but none more than these chickas! Here are a few pics of my favorite ladies from H-town.
